Positions : Assistant coordinator- Agriculture/Livelihood
Educational Qualification & Competencies :
M.Sc. /B.Sc. (Agri) with a minimum of 4-10 yrs. of field experience in implementing livelihood (agriculture) development projects with Special emphasis on vegetable cultivation, good training and capacity building skill for agriculture extension, good articulation skills hardworking & self-motivated. Experience of working with and managing community institutions, FPC etc will be of added advantage. Proficiency in spoken and written English required.
About CInI :
Collective for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives – CInI, registered under the Societies Act, is an associate organization of Tata Trusts. With an organizational mandate to work for the livelihood enhancement of tribal communities, CInI currently works in the tribal areas of Orissa, Jharkhand, Gujarat, and Maharashtra for comprehensive tribal development in collaboration with partners as well as through direct implementation teas in select locations. Under the Lakhpati Kisan program of the CInI, an initiative of Tata Trusts, CInI is implementing an ambitious multi-sectoral project in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra since 2015 with a multi-disciplinary implementation team present at district & block level.

Job Profile :
CInI is directly implementing an integrated livelihood enhancement project in selected clusters and blocks of Chandrapur District of Maharashtra. To strengthen the agriculture development activities under the project, CInI intends to appoint an “Assistant coordinator- Agriculture” with specialization and hands-on experience in agriculture.
* Undertake intensive agriculture development and extension work in the program clusters in coordination and participation of community and community organizations.
* Ensure close technical support to all families involved in Agriculture and Horticulture interventions in the project area/or as assigned to you.
* Ensure required Capacity building of CBOs & CBO leaders (Vis, Producer Company-PC). Support PC in developing business plans and achieving the planned outputs.
* Support the team and PC in developing linkages with market players for inputs & outputs, value addition, processing, etc. to ensure fair returns/income to producers.
* Provide close on-the-field technical and handholding support to farmers to ensure optimum production and income.
* Provide technical skills and strategic inputs to the organization on various agriculture-based livelihood enhancement activities.
* Undertake other cluster development activities as designed by the project in a comprehensive and integrated approach.
* Provide technical support to the team & partner agencies to enhance the quality of the program activities;
* Liaise and network with agriculture line departments, agriculture universities, Tribal Development Departments, Financial institutions like NABARD, Banks, and other relevant agencies for leveraging the program and other support inputs for enhancing the planned outputs of activities within CInI; Build linkages/alliances with NGOs/rural communities/ universities, etc.
* Ensure regular planning, reporting, and MIS.
* Any other tasks assigned to you by the team leader- Maharashtra.
Nature of Job :
