Social Media Analyst

About us - We are a youth-led and youth-run organization working in the space of women empowerment through skill building and livelihood generation with sustainability at its core. We work with urban and rural communities on awareness regarding personal safety education programs, sexual reproductive health rights, menstrual health and hygiene and capacity development by engaging local partners and community leaders. We work with adolescent girls and boys in schools to create a gender sensitive school environment and build confidence among the students.

Anahat For Change started operations in 2018. Since then we have been able to reach more than 4500 families across India. We are an organization working to build an equal environment for young girls and boys and helping them break the shackles of gender stereotypes and discrimination. We run two major projects- Unnati & Udaan in West Bengal. Unnati aims at promotion of menstrual hygiene management & sexual reproductive health rights with both male and female community members. Udaan aims to make gender based violence and discrimination unacceptable in several regions of Bengal by creating an agency for women and girls.

Designation : Social Media Executive

Job Type - Full time from Office

Experience - 3+ in similar roles , preferably a Mass Comm graduate. Experience in gender justice sector will be an added qualification. The candidate should have their own laptop.

We are open Monday to Saturday except 1st and 3rd Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

Promoting Anahat’s mission and vision across various content channels

Designing, curating, editing and publishing engaging graphic content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn

Following social media trends to implement strategies for optimizing content reach and impact

Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences

Designing and implementing of social media strategy to increase Social Media Visibility

Managing and overseeing the organization’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LInkedin, Twitter and YouTube) including but not limited to scheduling posts, communicating with followers, responding to comments, and analysing performance metrics

Generating narratives for newsletters, and other written assignments within project specifications and deadlines

Monitoring Search Engine Optimization and website traffic metrics

Tracking and analyzing content performance metrics to assess engagement, reach, and impact

Utilizing insights to refine content strategies for continuous improvement

Collaborating with the communication teams to create cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms.

Implementing new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.

Staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Visual Communication or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Social Media Management

Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.

Sound knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

Excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to translate ideas into compelling visual content.

Knowledge of online marketing channels

Familiarity with web design

Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

Strong attention to detail

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Exceptional written, communication and copywriting skills

Experience in handling a camera and a good visual sense

Passion for social causes and a commitment to the mission of the NGO.

A portfolio showcasing previous social media projects is required.
