NISCHIT PLUS TB: Pediatric TB Project: End TB in Indian Children project

SHARE INDIA is supported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide technical assistance to the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India (GoI). SHARE INDIA supports projects in Maharashtra in Mumbai, Nagpur, and 13 other states across the country to support the elimination of TB in India by the year 2025.

About the Project

The diagnosis of TB in children is challenging and obtaining adequate sputum samples, especially in young children, can be difficult. SHARE INDIA along with U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) aims to support NTEP efforts to enhance childhood TB detection through the ‘End TB in Indian Children’ project. The project will be implemented across selected 3 cities of India (Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai)

Lab Assistant (LA)

About the Position:

Job title: Lab Assistant

No. of positions: 03

Location: 3 (1 Delhi, 1 Chennai & 1 Mumbai)

Reports to: Lab Technician/Project Coordinator

Travel: No

Qualification: HSC pass with 2-3 years of experience/DMLT

LA will serve as a member of the project team and provide assistance to the TB Lab technician.

Responsibilities:

1) The lab assistant will assist the lab technician for conducting TB testing in the lab and for coordination activities per the project requirements.

2) Assist lab technician in data compilation and analysis.

3) Assist the lab technician in on site evaluation.

4) Coordinate for transportation of sample to TB testing lab from the collection site.

5) Collecting reports from TB testing center and providing the same to the project staff.

6) Disposal as per BMW & Laboratory SOPS & guidelines

Compensation offered:

The gross remuneration budgeted for this position is attractive. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications and experience and the last drawn salary of the selected candidate.
