Direct Reportees: Programme Teams: FLN, Golpo Ghor and Chakke Pe Kaksha

Reviewer: Trustees

Purpose of the Position:

The Programme Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and expanding projects under external partnerships. This role ensures the delivery of all project deliverables per proposals/MoUs/agreements, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director/Director. Key responsibilities include coordination, stakeholder management, financial tracking, reporting, and documentation. The role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of impactful initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Design, manage, and execute assigned projects.

Collaborate with the ERC Program Manager, Assistant Director, and Director to align project vision, planning, execution, process documents, annual reports, program presentations, financial documents, and communications.

Serve as a communication bridge between the Project Coordinator and stakeholders (government departments/school authorities) where the project is implemented.

Support team capacity building and preparation of resource materials to ensure project quality and alignment, working regularly with subject experts.

Conduct periodic field visits and ensure quality and timely donor reporting.

External Partnerships:

Identify and onboard potential external schools under the government for implementing projects - FLN / GG/ CPK

Liaise with stakeholders such as local authorities, municipalities, government and semi-governmental authorities, community leaders, and parents to raise awareness, increase visibility.

Collaborate with school authorities to promote project-based learning and workshops on literacy, financial acumen, reading habits, and digital literacy.

Implement assessment tools and processes to measure programme effectiveness and review outreach coverage.

Efficient Project Implementation:

Implement the CPK/ GG/ FLN following donor guidelines and the organization’s strategic plan.

Ensure elementary literacy and numeracy projects target early childhood learning to improve reading, writing, and numerical skills.

Address diverse learning needs through remedial modules.

Monitor programme implementation, student-educator ratios, and student progress.

Library (Golpo Ghor):

Review library policies and procedures.

Monitor the operation, management, and usage of the library by internal and external students.

Maintain accurate inventory of library books and reading materials.

Promote library services and learning opportunities.

Approve concessions for deserving children based on financial capability, where applicable.

Staff Supervision and Development:

Oversee the optimal deployment of staff.

Monitor performance through periodic reviews and provide feedback for course correction.

Review training needs of teachers and educators for effective curriculum and teaching methodologies implementation.

Organize orientation programmes.

Provide ongoing guidance, support, and professional development to enhance teaching skills and ensure adherence to programme standards.

Train teachers and volunteers for impactful literacy interventions.

Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among teachers and educators to promote teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement in the community.

Train and sensitize project staff and volunteers on child safeguarding and abuse prevention.

Address violations as per standards to provide physical and emotional support and prevent recurrence.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align projects with school goals and objectives.

Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations, educators, and literacy experts to leverage their expertise, resources, and support for project implementation and improvement.

Project Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitor and assess the effectiveness and impact of remedial and literacy projects.

Analyze data, including student performance, feedback from teachers and stakeholders, and project outcomes.

Prepare regular reports on project progress, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for school administrators, project funders, and external stakeholders.

Financial Management:

Coordinate with the finance team for budget monitoring, grant disbursements, and donor receipts.

Ensure timely spending and effective utilization of funds.

Prepare the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) for all projects under CWPE programmes.

Consolidate financial budgets (CAPEX and OPEX) and approve resource plans.

Monitor implementation of the Annual Plan and Budget, Cash Flows, and financial metrics against budgets.

Monitor project performance and metrics against predefined timelines as per the AOP.

Ensure proper fund utilization for programme execution.

Prepare monthly progress reports on project timelines and financials for timely publication of monthly accounts.

Encourage cost optimization initiatives and take corrective steps to minimize budget variances.

Communicate with management and donors regularly to facilitate fundraising for project continuity and expansion.

Other Program-Specific Tasks:

Liaise with internal teams, such as Communications, to provide programme data and case studies.

Support programme events within Ek Tara.

Work closely with other functional teams (Finance, Admin, HR) for smooth operational functioning of the programme.
