VIDEO EDITOR

JOB DESCRIPTION, KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Video editing of all videos and support in shootings, at any location.

Thinking creatively and developing new videos, animations

Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

Develop illustrations, and sketches using software or by hand

Working with a wide range of media and video editing software.

Keeping backup and records of all the created videos.

Independently conceptualize and make videos.

Maintaining easy to retrieve database of all videos.

Establish and promote video guidelines, best practices, and standards.

Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience.

Take a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications.

Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value contribution to continuity.

Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.

Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.

Create rough and final cuts.

Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.

Consult with stakeholders from production to the post-production process.

Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
