Position: Junior Program Officer

Location: Mumbai, India

Relevant Sectors: Program Implementation; Gender; Youth

What you will do:

1] Program Implementation

- Engage with Mumbai based colleges for the mobilization of young women and men for the Akshara program

- Interact with young people, inspire them to be Change-makers and Gender Advocates

- Develop an engagement strategy for building a community of young people

- Organize trainings in Masculinity and Gender and Active Citizenship

2] Documentation

- Write short reports on workshops and events

- Write Stories of Change of young people

- Compile, organise and manage program and people data in Excel

3] Communications

- Manage meeting online and offline along with logistics for meetings

- Find messages and videos of interest to youth for circulation

- Form What’s App Groups and engage them with information

Skills and Qualifications:

- A graduate in Social Work or Social Sciences – Fresher and with experience of 1-2 years

- Computer skills, especially Excel and Internet savvy

- Commitment to fight for a social cause

- Ease of communication in Marathi and/or Hindi and English

- Good English written communication skills

Salary:

- According to Social Work college scales, experience and educational qualifications.
