Position- Communication and Donor Engagement Officer

Job purpose:
To cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors and supporters of the organization for ensuring engagement and securing financial commitment
Qualification and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as non-profit management, communications, marketing, or a related discipline. Previous experience in donor relations, sales, marketing, or related fields is advantageous. Familiarity with non-profit organizations and understanding of fundraising principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both written and verbal.

Purpose of the role: Managing relationships with donors to ensure their on-going support and engagement with the organization
Key responsibilities:
• Providing excellent customer service to donors by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive donor experience throughout their engagement with the organization.
• Maintain and expand the data base of friends of Adhar for creating awareness about Adhar.
• Prepare a calendar for donor communication and ensure the same reaches them timely.
• Maintaining regular communication with donors through various channels such as emails, letters, phone calls, and in-person meetings. This involves updating donors on the organization's activities, impact, and upcoming projects/need.
• Ensuring donors feel appreciated and valued by acknowledging their contributions promptly and appropriately. This may involve sending thank-you notes, recognition plaques, or organizing special events for major donors.
• Assist in writing grant proposals, developing fundraising campaigns, or organizing fundraising events.
• Conducting research on potential donors to identify individuals or organizations with the capacity and alignment to support the organization's mission.
• Maintaining records of donor interactions and contributions for tracking.
