The L&T Public Charitable Trust was instituted in 2004 by Founder Chairman Mr A M Naik, to instil philanthropic values at every level of the organisation. Mr Naik encourages L&T-ites to give back to the society and employees, in turn, contribute to this Trust’s corpus. The Company matches employee contributions with an equivalent grant. LTPCT works in partnership with NGOs, Govt., and other stakeholders with the objective of reducing duplication of efforts, enhancing scalability, and implementing the learnings to multiply the impact. Since its inception, the Trust has touched the lives of two million underprivileged children, women, and youth in three states where LTPCT operates i.e. Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. LTPCT also receives grant from other L&T group companies in addition to its own fund for various programme implementation. LTPCT thrust areas are Education, Health, Skill-Building, livelihoods and Water & Sanitation through its Comprehensive Community Development Programme. The Trust always believed in focusing on its guiding principles of remaining in smaller geographies and saturating its interventions to impact lives at last mile. Along with strengthening, monitoring, and reviewing, the Trust has been able to deliver result-based programmes and create meaningful synergies through collaborations with the Government, international partners, bilateral agencies, and other not-for-profit sector institutions 

Position Summary: 

As a Programme Manager specializing in Health and Public Health, your role would be multifaceted and critical in overseeing and coordinating various initiatives and projects within these sectors. Here’s an outline of what your job description might encompass:

Overall Responsibilities:     

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives in health as the thrust areas.  

Program Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of programs aimed at improving health outcomes and promoting public health initiatives.

Project Management: Oversee project execution from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, community organizations, and other partners to foster partnerships and facilitate joint initiatives.

Resource Management: Manage program budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure financial accountability.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness and impact, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies and practices that support health, education, and public health goals at local and district level .

Capacity Building: Identify training needs, develop capacity-building strategies, and provide leadership and mentorship to program staff and partners.

Required Qualifications:     

Educational Background: A degree in Public Health is preferred but not a must. Degree in Social Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MPH, MPA, MBA) may be preferred.  

Experience: Proven experience in program management, preferably in health sectors. Experience with government-funded programs or international organizations is often beneficial.

Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal), project management expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

Knowledge: Understanding of health systems, educational frameworks, public health principles, and policy development processes.  

Writing programme proposals, data analysis and documentation

Additional Considerations:     

Travel: Some positions may require travel, both domestically and internationally, to oversee program activities, engage with stakeholders, and participate in conferences or meetings.

Technology: Proficiency in using technology and software relevant to program management, data analysis, and reporting.

In summary, as a Programme Manager in Health your role is pivotal in driving positive change through effective program management, strategic planning, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders to achieve measurable impacts in these critical sectors.   

Salary : Not a constraint for good candidate   ( CTC 12 to 18 lacs) 

Location – Mumbai with extensive field travel
