Introduction:
TCG Public School is seeking a passionate and qualified PGT English Teacher dedicated to cultivating a deep appreciation for literature and language arts among students. Key Responsibilities:
1) Teach English to senior secondary students (Classes XI-XII), focusing on cultivating an appreciation for literature and language arts.
2) Impart essential reading, writing, and English language skills through structured lessons and intentional classroom discussions.
3) Pose open-ended questions to foster higher-level thinking and encourage critical analysis.
4) Create engaging lesson plans that promote active student participation and cater to diverse learning needs.
5) Utilize learning materials that reflect diverse voices and perspectives, ensuring inclusivity in the curriculum.
6) Assess student progress through both classroom observation and the grading of assignments, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
7) Communicate classroom culture, protocols, and procedures clearly to ensure a conducive learning environment.
8) Foster an interactive classroom by using a participatory approach to engage students in collaborative and reflective learning.
9) Provide individual support to students, guiding them toward academic excellence and personal growth.
10) Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities, contributing to the overall development of the school community.
Qualifications:
1) Master’s degree in English (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
2) B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
3) Minimum of 7 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school at the senior secondary level.
4) Strong command of the English language, excellent communication, and critical thinking skills.
5) Ability to employ creative and engaging teaching techniques that inspire student interest in literature and language arts.
6) A passion for nurturing students' potential and helping them develop essential skills in reading, writing, and communication with a flexible and creative environment.
