Village Renewal Organisation is a NGO based in Nandyal is currently implementing a project called as " Agroforestry for Sustainable Development of Chenchu Tribals" in 4 tribal villages of Nandyal district in Andhra Pradesh.

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate or Post graduate in Agriculture (B.Sc (Ag) or M.Sc)

• Graduate in Horticulture - B.Sc (Horticulture)

• Mim 2-3 years of experience in rural development sector particularly in Agriculture/Environment/Natural farming.

Skills required:

• Proficiency in MS-Office ( Word, Excel and Power point)

• Excellent communication and documentation skills (English and Telugu), negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate in all aspects of the agro-forestry project, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.

• Liaise with stakeholders including tribal community leaders, government

• agencies, NGOs, and other partners.

• Oversee the training needs of the tribal farmers, and project field staff.

• Nurturing and promoting of the existing FPO with tribal farmers.

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

• Keep updating various data related to the project and share its analysis and insights to the management.

• Monitor project progress and report regularly to management.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

• Strong understanding of rural development issues and livelihood enhancement strategies

• Field visits to conduct farmers meetings, monitoring the plantation growth, addressing the field level challenges and supporting the field level staff, coordination with local Government line departments viz. Horticulture, NREGS, Forestry and ITDA/Tribal welfare, etc,.

• Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, including financial records, Budgeting, meeting minutes, and beneficiary profiles.

o Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel extensively within project areas.

Salary: Rs.25000 per month + additional field travel expenses
