Position: Senior Programme Facilitators (4)

The State Programme Facilitatorswill be instrumental in establishing strong relationships with government departments, civil society networks in the respective states and support in getting community issues on agriculture, child rights issues, livelihood and others resolved through Government Departments. The primary objective is to engage with key departments, networks of civil society organizations, enhance visibility of the organization and its goals and initiatives.
Location Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Banswara and Jaipur (Rajasthan).
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government departments, ministries, and officials working in the agriculture, women and child development, rural development, Panchayati raj, child rights, medical and health, and other key departments.
Collaborate with other NGOs, civil society organizations, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and coordinate joint efforts.
Stay updated on state policies, regulations, and funding opportunities related to agriculture and child rights, and provide relevant information to the organization's leadership and team members.
Collaborate with organization team members to align organizational objectives with government priorities and ensure effective implementation of programs and projects in the programme areas.
Travel to programme areas and interaction with field team members, tribal farming communities, and other stakeholders.
Prepare state specific policy briefs, position papers, and reports to communicate the organization's stance on critical issues and present them to government officials and relevant stakeholders.
Participate in relevant forums, conferences, committees, and working groups in the states to represent the organization's interests and contribute to policy discussions.
Cultivate relationships with media representatives, influencers, and stakeholders to maximize media coverage and ensure accurate portrayal of the organization's mission and activities.
Seek opportunities for resource mobilization, including grants, partnerships, and sponsorships, by leveraging the organization's network with government departments and agencies.
Conceptualize, design and prepare plan for action research around thematic areas on which VAAGDHARA works viz. True Farming, True Childhood and True Governance and support different units in undertaking action research.
Preparing research documents, research papers and dissemination at State, National and International level. Contributing to report writing, blogs, policy briefs, and proposal writing.
Spearhead policy analyses efforts required to be undertaken for building of a favourable eco-system with various stakeholders such as people’s organisation, community members, women collectives, media and national and international organizations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g.Rural Development, Social Work, Agriculture, Social Work, Public Policy, Economics,Public Health, Communications and others).
Have a rich experience of implementing programs in field, with proven experience of atleast 5 years public relations, government department networking, preferably in the agriculture, climate action and others.
Strong knowledge of Climate change adaptation, Renewable Energy and related aspects with at least 5 years of field experiences is preferable.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to analyse policy issues, identify trends, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, including media outreach and social media campaigns.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, stakeholders, and media representatives.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
