Reporting Supervisor : District Coordinator

Duty Station : Deoria, Mau, Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Unnao District (U.P.)

Type : In Person- Consultant Full-time

Total Position Openings : 07 (one in each district)

Project Period : 01-May-2024 to 31-Mar-2027

Travel : Regular field visits

Doctors For You is seeking applications for Outreach Workers in its TB Projects. We are seeking a committed and skilled Outreach Worker to engage with communities, facilitate access to TB services, and advocate for effective TB care and prevention. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with community members to promote TB awareness, facilitate access to TB screening and treatment, and provide support to individuals affected by TB. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, cultural competence, and the ability to navigate complex social issues related to TB. The ideal candidate will work from the admin office in the respective district.

 

Qualifications, skills, and Competencies :

• 12th pass/ Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Health Science or GNM (or equivalent experience).

• At least 1 year experience in community outreach, health education, or a similar role, preferably within TB or infectious disease programs. of experience.

• Should have hands-on experience on handling electronic device like tablet, laptop and familiar to KOBO tool & MS Office.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Obtains the linelist of the suspects from the field staff of the health system like ASHA, TB HV

• Mobilises the suspects one day before the camp

• Assists the x ray technician for carrying out the x rays

• Conduct outreach activities, such as home visits and community events, to identify individuals at risk of TB and connect them to appropriate healthcare services

• Provide education and counseling to individuals and families about TB, its transmission, symptoms, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment

• Assist in the coordination and implementation of TB screening and testing initiatives within the target communities

• Support TB patients in navigating the healthcare system and adhering to their treatment regimens

• Collaborate with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen the TB referral network and improve access to services

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities, referrals, and patient follow-up

• Assisting x-ray technician for ACF Reports

• Travels within the district at different sites for conducting X-rays

Note: The principal responsibilities listed above are an illustrative list and not an exhaustive list. Additional responsibilities may be added from time to time depending on Project requirements.

Essential Requirements:

Availability of motorcycle is MUST, and availability of laptop would be desirable.

Reporting:

The Outreach Worker will be reporting to the District Coordinator.

Remuneration: The compensation for the aforementioned position(s) will be capped at Rs. 18,000 and will adhere to internal policies and market standards. It will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, budget availability, internal parity, and interview performance. This position requires exceptional communication, analytical, documentation, interpersonal, and computer skills, as well as a willingness to travel. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience and local candidates who possess the necessary experience and skill sets.
