Primary Purpose:
The program aims to reach communities that, due to a lack of awareness about eye donation and corneal transplants due to, social dogma, or economic hardship, cannot access necessary eye care services. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to drive community awareness and support the elimination of corneal blindness. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects and strong skills in work plan development and progress monitoring. The selected candidate will regularly present progress updates to management, ensuring the project meets its innovative goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish productive relationships with stakeholders, especially in rural areas, to build a community movement around eye donation.
• Network with government agencies, NGOs, social groups, and educational institutions at the grassroots level.
• Coordinate with organizations conducting eye care camps in rural areas.
• Organize meetings, presentations, and workshops at village and panchayat levels, involving sarpanches, gram sewaks, and self-help groups to raise awareness of eye donation.
• Ensure effective documentation of activities and timely reporting.
• Lead and guide the project staff to meet the project’s objectives.
• Travel 12 days per month to various centers, including Dausa and other assigned locations, to carry out awareness activities and liaise with hospital staff to increase cornea collections.
• -He will be located at Jaipur and will be required to manage a project at district Dausa and travel to other locations to carry out awareness activities and liaise with hospital staff to increase cornea collections.
• Manage project timelines, risk mitigation plans, and resource coordination.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Organize awareness programs for eye donation.
Who We Are Looking For:
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the social or rural sector.
• Proven success in implementing rural projects and working with all levels of management.
• Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Education and Experience
• Master’s degree (preferably in Management or Social Work).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in rural or social sectors.
Required Characteristics:
• Self-driven and result-oriented, with a focus on high-quality output.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong decision-making capabilities.
• Comfortable with extensive travel and team-oriented.
Technology Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and databases.
• Open to learning new technologies introduced within the organization.
Role Location:
The Project Office will be located in Jaipur, but the primary responsibility will be executing a project in Dausa district. The Project Officer will also visit other areas of EBSR, as required, to manage awareness programs across Rajasthan.
Compensation:
• Annual Salary: Rs 3,00,000 to Rs 3,50,000.
