Position Description

The Program Associate will be a crucial member of the LLF team, primarily responsible for financial management, coordination, and strategy development. Reporting to the State Manager, the associate will work closely with district teams to ensure smooth implementation of program activities, manage financial processes, support strategy development, and handle administrative tasks as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with district teams to prepare advance requests necessary for program activities.
  • Verify and facilitate the settlement of bills in coordination with the accounts team and state manager for budget allocation.
  • Coordinate with accounts and district teams to streamline deliverables and ensure smooth advance settlement processes.
  • Regularly process and submit advance settlement documents to the Delhi office for further processing.

Strategy Development

  • Develop formats and templates for the implementation of program activities in coordination with district teams.
  • Assist the state manager in liaising with state-level officials and stakeholders.
  • Support in drafting program proposals, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare progress reports for donors and state government stakeholders.
  • Provide necessary support to the central team by furnishing state-specific information as required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Manage logistics and arrangements during state-level meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as needed by the central admin & HR department.

Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Skills

  • Strong financial management skills with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and grant management.
  • Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills to work effectively with district teams, accounts team, and state-level officials.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to develop and draft reports, proposals, and other official documents.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial management, program coordination, or related fields.
  • Experience in working with NGOs, government projects, or educational programs is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in handling logistics and administrative tasks is desirable.
