Recruitment of Civil Engineer (lift irrigation and water filtration)
Water and Livelihoods Foundation (WLF) is a Public Trust established in 2016 at Hyderabad, India. With a vision of ‘water-security for all’, WLF strives to develop grass-roots innovations, facilitate capacity building and carryout action research in the areas of water, agriculture and livelihoods. WLF is looking for a suitable candidate for the following position against the current vacancy at Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh:
Civil Engineer (1 no.) – a candidate having diploma / bachelor / post-graduate degree in Civil / water resources engineering, with minimum 5 years of experience in the planning, design and implementation of small lift irrigation schemes, salinity monitoring, water supply and micro water filtration projects. Experience in activities that counter coastal salinity is highly desirable. Writing reports and fund-raising by writing concept papers and project proposals is essential as a part of the duties. Position is either at Bapatla (AP). Total emoluments: Max. 7.00 lakhs pa.

WLF emerged as an organization with focus on water related issues and associated livelihoods, from the rich experiences of Sustainable Ground Water Management (SuGWM) Project, a project implemented by Centre for World Solidarity (CWS) during 2011-16 and funded by EU and Bread for the World, Germany. The founding staff of WLF come from the SuGWM project of CWS and have cultivated rich experience in water conservation, management and related livelihoods enhancement, both at grass-roots level and policy engagement, over last 20 years.
