Engagement Consultant for Stakeholder Workshops on Lead Poisoning

1. Introduction

Pure Earth India invites qualified consultants to organise and facilitate stakeholder workshops focused on addressing the critical issue of lead poisoning in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. These workshops are part of a broader series aimed at raising awareness, building support, and driving actionable solutions at both state and national levels.

2. Project Overview

Pure Earth India is hosting state-level stakeholder conferences in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand to highlight the impact of lead poisoning and mobilise key actors. The consultant will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing these events, leveraging their expertise in government relations and stakeholder engagement within these regions.

3. Scope of Work

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

Stakeholder Outreach: Coordinating invitations, focusing on securing participation from key government departments, industry bodies, and NGOs.

State-Level Engagement: Identifying and engaging relevant officials and stakeholders in each state.

Confirmation Follow-ups: Ensuring stakeholder attendance by managing ongoing communication and confirmation processes.

Logistics Coordination: Facilitating the logistical elements related to stakeholder attendance and participation.

Representation: Ensuring strong representation from state health departments, environmental agencies, FSSAI, State Pollution Control Boards, and relevant NGOs.

Workshop Coordination: Collaborating with Pure Earth India representatives to ensure the smooth execution of the workshops.

4. Deliverables

Input in identified and mapped key stakeholders, including government officials, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), industry representatives, and other relevant actors in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

On behalf of Pure Earth develop and draft invitations to ensure the participation of a diverse and relevant group of stakeholders.

Ensure a strong representation from government departments, NGOs, academic institutions, and industry bodies.

Confirmed attendee lists for each workshop.

Weekly progress reports outlining outreach efforts and updates.

Post-workshop report summarising stakeholder engagement, key outcomes, and recommendations.

5. Timeline

Hiring: Immediate, as soon as possible

Tentative Workshop Schedule:

Jharkhand: 20th November 2024

Uttar Pradesh: 11th December 2024

Bihar: 18th December 2024

7. Proposal Requirements

Proposals should include the following:

Understanding & Approach: A clear understanding of the project and the proposed approach to achieving its objectives.

Relevant Experience: Demonstrated experience in government relations and stakeholder engagement in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

Methodology & Timeline: Detailed methodology and timeline to complete the scope of work.

Budget Breakdown: A detailed budget breakdown.

Key Personnel: CV(s) of key personnel involved in the project.

8. Evaluation Criteria

Relevant Experience & Expertise: 40%

Proposed Methodology & Approach: 30%

Cost-Effectiveness: 20%

Quality of References: 10%
