1. Job Title: Mentor
2. Job Purpose: Mentor is tasked with spreading awareness and information about the various initiatives and programs being run by Pratham Education Foundation, in at least 50 village communities assigned to him/her. While ensuring the above community engagement, Mentor also closely aligns mobilization efforts to identify and reach out to interested youth (18-35 years), counsel, and motivate them for enrolling in skill development courses as per their interest. The role entails working closely with the respective Senior Mentors and Mentor Leaders as well as Center personnel, while traveling extensively and working long hours. At all times he/she has to ensure that mobilization operations are aligned with overall center planning, operations, and reporting.
3. Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Making rapport and creating networks with village and community stakeholders (i.e. Gram Pradhan, Gram Panchayat members, Schools, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, SHGs, Bachat Gat, Yuvak Mandal, etc.) and engaging them in various initiatives and programs being run by Pratham Education Foundation under the ‘Education for Education’ initiative, along with Skill Development and other programs.
2) Identifying and developing youth volunteers (14-35 years) in at least 50 assigned villages. Further motivating and facilitating them in designing initiatives or conducting activities under the ‘Education for Education’ initiative, for the overall development of the village, especially women, children, adolescents, and youth.
3) Counsel youth (18-35 years) in assigned 50 villages so that they feel motivated in registering and enrolling for skill development courses as per their keen interest.
4) Spreading awareness by creating a network of Volunteer-based community leaders ( i.e. Rojgaar Saathi etc.) and organizing events, and melas at the village/taluka level for implementing skill development campaigns at the ground level.
5) Exploring new ventures and collaborations with Govt bodies, and NGO Partners in the respective areas.
6) Consciously he/she should model himself/herself, as well as promote a workplace culture that is consistent with the official ‘Code of Conduct’ and emphasizes the mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.
7) At all times he/she shall be conscious-of and promote ‘Gender Sensitivity’ and ‘Gender Equality’ in all means of communication ( like verbal, non-verbal, written, etc.) and actions, in official premises, on field or while interacting with trainees, staff, community stakeholders, Govt. organizations, other organizations or entities.
4. Skills required:
1) Excellent Communication & Interpersonal/People Skills in the local language, including having a good listening ability with an emphatic outlook.
2) Being a Team Player, along with having a proactive, innovative, and positive mindset.
3) Must have Mentoring and Counseling skills.
4) Having Planning and Networking skills.
5) Must be able to resolve situations, using a flexible and problem-solving approach.
6) Having a basic understanding of technical and digital skills, you can use different applications (like Mobilization App), portals, dashboards, etc., for planning daily work, filling data online, and other reporting purposes.
7) Basic understanding of data, to plan strategies for furthering community engagement and mobilization in respective areas through the use of dashboards.
8) Basic understanding of conducting and leading training as a Facilitator.
9) The ability to handle multiple roles and activities at a given time.
10) Basic understanding of various mediums of communication, for reaching out to various community stakeholders, including Social-media.
5. Essential and Desirable criteria
1) Minimum Educational Qualification: Intermediate (10th) pass
2) Age Criteria: 20-50 years
3) Minimum of 2 years of work experience, but young and dynamic freshers are also welcome.
4) Preference shall be accorded to candidates with their vehicle, with proper registration and other documents, along with required safety gear.
5) Preference shall be accorded to candidates with smartphones.
Salary 17000 CTC to 19500 CTC
2. Job Purpose:
He/She takes care of the respective center’s placement and post-placement needs, which entails overall planning, implementing, documenting, reporting and managing on-going trainee batches and building a rapport with placement partners, trainees, alumni and other relevant stakeholders. He/She works in close association with respective Center Head, Placement Zonal/Regional and Placement Mentor, and on an on-going basis coordinates with the Technical Academic. At all times he/she has to ensure that placement operations are aligned with overall center planning and operations.
3. Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Locating or identifying potential placement partners in the region by discovering and exploring placement opportunities locally and regionally. Further building and maintaining regular contact with current and past employers.
2) To have close liaison with the respective industry, to understand the upcoming trends and collect feedback about the training quality on an ongoing basis and share it with the Center Head and Academic team. Analyze available job market economic data and information. Research job market trends and requirements for a variety of occupations.
3) Provide mentorship support to the trainees employed in the region, so as to help them settle in the new job environment. This includes conduction of pre-placement ‘Job induction’ sessions, on-going counseling, helping in finding accommodation, establishing social networks, resolving issues with employers, providing any other emergency support as required, etc.
4) Coordination and organization of on-campus interviews.
5) Tracking trainees for the complete period of their employment while maintaining complete data-set of trainees and ensuring timely reporting of the same while capturing the feedback of trainees and recruiters on an ongoing basis. This includes updating the Placement and Post-placement data in Salesforce and other platforms at relevant intervals.
6) Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship especially with the center academic team and other center staff.
7) Collection of documents from concerned entities like Offer letter, retention letter, etc.
8) Capturing stories of successful trainees on an ongoing basis for Donor purposes and social media platforms.
9) He/She supports other Center personnel in other respective Center tasks and engagement activities, as required, which may involve traveling.

e) Excellent networking skills to build a rapport with Placement partners and maintain effective relationships.
f) Ability to present to large audiences
2) Comfortable with extensive fieldwork - willingness to travel throughout the region on an ongoing basis. Includes willingness to adjust to travel by different modes of transport, (bus, train, etc.) and willingness to stay irrespective of the staying conditions.
3) Must possess excellent management skills which include – People, Finances, Data, Time etc., which includes
a) Good time management with an ability to prioritize and thrive in a pressurized environment.
b) Excellent organizational skills and the ability to schedule and plan within a cyclical structure.
c) Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
d) Ability to work and keep calm under pressure.
4) Basic Computer aptitude – Microsoft Word, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint – for producing reports, and preparing presentations.
5) Positive attitude, proactive and optimistic nature.
5. Essential and Desirable criteria
1) Minimum Qualification: Minimum Graduation (Preferably from the respective technical area)
2) Experience Criteria: Candidates having an experience of 2 years , preferably in the Sales /Development / Business Development sector will be given preference.
3) Age Criteria: Candidates must be between the age group of 25-40 years.
