About the Organization- Sabuj Sangha is a non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of less fortunate people in West Bengal through participation and empowerment. The organisation was established in 1975 and registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961. Our operational area encompasses the Sundarbans (South & North 24 Parganas), Kolkata, East Medinipur and Alipurduar District of West Bengal, India.

Responsibilities:
• Manage, Monitor and thereby Ensure project objectives and targets are met effectively within timelines considering the Climate Change Issues and Targeting at building Climate Resilient Community;
• Capacity building of programme team & other pertinent teams formed in the community
• Proposal Writing for different projects/ programmes
• Formation, Capacity Building and Ensuring Management Support of ‘Farmers’ Producers’ Organization’ (FPO)
• Support programme teams for ensuring smooth implementation of programmes
• Participation in different conferences/ seminars / workshops / training programmes as per the need
• Conducting study/Research with the help of external agency/consultant
• Networking with Local, National & International Organization/ institutions who are implementing similar kind of programme/ project across the State of West Bengal for reciprocation of knowledge & cross learning
• Developing different survey formats as per the project / programme need
• Data management and analysis
• Plan monthly and quarterly targets and ensure their delivery through team
• Undertake intensive and regular field visits to different gram panchayat areas of different islands of Sundarbans in West Bengal to supervise project implementation
• Report project activities and financial progress and share with Project Director/ Director of Organization
• Prepare quality project reports (monthly/ quarterly/ annually as required) and case studies for complying donor requirements within specific timelines and also to be shared with other stakeholders
• Preparation of IEC Materials and Documentations to be shared with the Stakeholders, Community and Social Media Platforms (e.g. Website of Organization, Facebook, Twitter / Instagram/ You-tube etc.)
• Conduct periodic review meetings and verification of MIS data with the team to ensure delivery is as per schedule
• Lead, manage and support creating an environment that enables staff to maximise their potential and facilitates high performing team
• Map all stakeholders and design stakeholder engagement strategy
• Advocacy & Liaison with different stakeholders including PRIs, Govt. Line Departments & officials to maintain strong networking for smooth implementation of Programme in the state.
• To undertake any other activity/ work as directed by Programme Director
• Any other work as per the need of the Organisation
Essential Qualification and Experience:
• Post-graduation (or equivalent) qualification in one of the following areas: Agriculture sciences, Rural Development, Social work, Natural resource management or related stream
• Around 5-6 years of relevant work experience in similar organizational/functional context
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with Rural Development project(s)
• Good communications and presentation skills - write, read and speak in English & Bengali.

• Experience in Managing programs in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Experience in working with time bound projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven strategic, conceptual and analytical skills
• Proactive and self-motivated individual capable of engaging with various stakeholders
• A self-starter, able to work independently
• Ability to travel extensively
• Proficient in Computer Operations specifically M.S. Office (especially Word, Excel, Power Point).
Reporting Authority: Project Director/ Director of Organization .
Remuneration: Rs. 50,000.00 per month [statutory deduction will be applicable].
