Position: Documentation Officer
Sabuj Sangha is a non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of less fortunate people in West Bengal through participation and empowerment. The organisation was established in 1975 and registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961. Our operational area encompasses the Sundarbans and North Bengal regions of West Bengal, India.
Sabuj Sangha believes in an integrated and sustainable development with a holistic approach. The organisation focuses on the following five thematic areas, while implementing rural development programmes:
• Health and Nutrition
• Education and Protection
• Livelihood & Women’s Empowerment
• Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
• Environment, Climate Justice and Disaster Response

Operational Area: West Bengal
Essential Qualification and Experience:
• Post-graduation (or equivalent) qualification in one of the following areas: Agriculture sciences, Rural Development, Social work, Natural resource management or related stream
• Around 5-6 years of relevant work experience in similar organizational/functional context
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with Rural Development project(s)
• Good communications and presentation skills - write, read and speak in English & Bengali.

• Good Understanding of Holistic Development Concept
• Experience in Managing programs in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Experience in working with time bound projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven strategic, conceptual and analytical skills
• Proactive and self-motivated individual capable of engaging with various stakeholders
• A self-starter, able to work independently
• Ability to travel extensively
• Proficient in Computer Operations specifically M.S. Office (especially Word, Excel, Power Point).
Job Description:
• Manage, monitor and achieve the project deliverables as per the set timelines of different geographical locations
• Preparing project reports for complying donor requirements
• Developing different survey formats as per the project / programme need
• Support programme teams for ensuring smooth implementation of programmes
• Participation in different national and international conferences/ seminars/ workshops/ training programmes as per the need
• Data management and analysis
• Enhancing network of all concerned stakeholders
• Advocacy to different stakeholders/govt. officials
• Travel to different projects as and when required
• Conducting study/Research with the help of external agency/consultant
• Preparing and developing Project Proposals
• Any other work as per the need of the Organisation
Remuneration: Commensurate with experience and qualification.
