LEPRA Society is a pan-India health and development organization working for the people affected by Leprosy and other neglected diseases to transform their lives and overcome poverty, discrimination and disability. LEPRA endeavors to diagnose, facilitate treatment to those affected and help them to rehabilitate into the mainstream of the society. LEPRA works in collaborations with the Government and other funding agencies to reach into most inaccessible villages of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Delhi, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh states.
About the Project:
Brief about Project: The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) India program of FHI360 will be implemented by LEPRA Society. The Project aims to strengthen organizational capacities of local KP-led CBOs (Community based organizations) and PLHIV networks to effectively manage and implement HIV programs; and to support in resource mobilization through innovative funding mechanisms so that they can contribute to the HIV response in their districts and states on a sustained basis. The Project focuses on capacity building of these organizations in their journey towards self-reliance and sustained engagement in the HIV/AIDS response. The Project will be implemented in Telangana state focusing on five PEPFAR/USAID priority districts (Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahaboobnagr, Nalgonda, Karimnagar)
About the Position :
Cluster Coordinator (CC) is located at District level and is responsible for handling 2 districts of the PEPFAR priority districts. S/he should coordinate with the allotted CBOs and take lead in mentoring the CBOs on regular basis. H/she will be positioned in one of the PEPFAR priority District. CC is responsible for mobilizing the CBO Members for the Training/ Capacity Building Programmes. H/She should support the Project Manager is taking up Organizational Assessments and plan for Institutional Strengthening Plans (ISPs) among the allotted CBOs. Should Provide mentoring support to the CBO s in Mapping the Resources / Developing the concept Notes and submissions. Cluster Coordinator is also responsible to Mentor the CBO s in building their organizational capacities based on the ISPs with the support from experts, wherever necessary. Should Facilitate the Resource Mobilization Planners for taking up fund raising initiatives at CBO level in coordination with Resource Mobilization Officer. Support CBOs in building database of the Stakeholders. Develop and Strengthen CBO relationship with the local key stakeholders / allied systems and other local corporates for supporting the implementation of HIV Programmes. CC should support the CBO s in enhancing visibility of their work. Should take lead in strengthening the network of CBO s at district level by coordinating with allied systems. CC reports to the Project Manager. Intensive travel is necessitated.
Qualification & Experience:
• Master’s degree in a social science or related field
• 3-5 years in Development sector, Knowledge on HIV/ADIS sector
Skills required:
Primary: Knowledge of community based organizations especially in HIV/AIDS & KPs
Secondary: Process Documentation, Organizational governance, M&E & Resource Mobilization
Locations :
Position will be based at Khammam District, Telangana and provide support to CBOs
Project Period: October 2024 – September 2025 (Likely to be renewable)
Language Requirements: Must be fluent in Telugu and excellent in reading, writing and speaking in English
The position is open for immediate appointment.
Remuneration: Rs.40,000/- (CTC) per month.
