Overview of the Position:

We seek an enthusiastic and driven Programme Associate to play a pivotal role in successfully executing our children's education, sports, and nutrition programs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player dedicated to positively influencing the lives of young people. This role involves coordinating activities, managing program logistics, and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure the success of our initiatives.

Principal Duties:

Program Coordination: Develop, implement, and supervise initiatives that promote nutritional awareness, sports, and education. Collaborate with team members, school personnel, and community partners to guarantee the successful execution of the program. Financial Planning and Execution of Projects:

• Development of financial plans, activity budgets, and program plans.

• Monitor expenditures to ensure they are consistent with the budget and financial policies. To maintain financial documentation for project activities, prepare financial reports, and monitor expenses.

• Assist in the fundraising and grant application processes by furnishing project descriptions and financial data.

Community Engagement: Establish and sustain connections with schools, parents, and local communities to encourage participation and support for our programs. Conduct field visits to engage with children and collect feedback.

Workshops and Training: Facilitate and organize seminars, training sessions, and events for educators and children on nutrition, sports, and education. Encourage the creation of training resources and materials.

Monitoring and Evaluation: To assess the program's impact, monitor progress towards objectives, and collect data on program activities. Prepare presentations and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Outreach and Communication: Develop content for social media, newsletters, and other communication platforms. Increase awareness to contribute to the organisation's mission and initiatives.

Manage program supplies, apparatus, and materials through resource management. Guarantee that the resources necessary for program activities are appropriately utilised and maintained.

Administrative Assistance: Offer logistical and administrative assistance, such as database maintenance, scheduling, and documentation.

Report Writing: Proficient in creating detailed and concise reports, including analysis, findings, and recommendations.

Project Proposal Development: Skilled in drafting comprehensive project proposals that effectively communicate objectives, methodologies, and budgets.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, Sports Management, Nutrition, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity within the non- profit sector, preferably in the fields of education, sports, or health, in program management.

Skill Set: Exceptional project management and organisational abilities.

• Proficiency in English, as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Skill in engaging and inspiring community members and youth.

• Training or workshop facilitation experience.

• Expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

• Capacity to function both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

Desirable:

• Comprehension of educational practices and child development. An understanding of nutrition education or athletics coaching.

• Familiarity with the socio-cultural context of the region.
