Position Description

The Academic Coordinator will play an active role in supporting LLF's collaboration with the UK-based organization 'Inspiring Teachers' to design various teaching-learning and training resources. The coordinator will manage the testbed program at the block level, overseeing project implementation in designated schools, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring quality data collection for research purposes. Additionally, the role involves conducting classroom observations, managing data, and providing support in capacity-building workshops and research studies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Coordination and Project Management:

Manage LLF’s testbed program in assigned blocks/schools, ensuring quality project outcomes. Liaise with government stakeholders and school authorities to facilitate program implementation.

Research and Data Management:

Implement research tools with efficiency, ensuring accurate data collection and documentation. Conduct classroom observations and stakeholder interviews to support research studies. Manage both physical and virtual data as per project needs.

Capacity Building and Stakeholder Engagement:

Support the Research Coordinator and other team members in conducting capacity-building workshops or stakeholder orientation sessions. Report indicators or events that may hamper program implementation.

Reporting and Documentation:

Submit reports to the Research Coordinator/District Program Manager as required. Document best practices, case studies, and success stories to share with donors, the central team, and government partners.

Other Responsibilities:

Attend review meetings and provide additional academic and research support as needed.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the Research Coordinator or District Program Manager.

Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preference for Hindi/Mathematics).

Skills:

Knowledge of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy.

Proficiency in research tools and methods.

Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English (written and spoken).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage relationships.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage program coordination in the field.

Results-oriented mindset with adaptability to a dynamic work environment.

Positive and proactive attitude, receptive to feedback.

Experience:

Over 3 years of experience in school education, including research, training, teaching, coaching, and program coordination.

Understanding of how to manage data and documentation effectively in the field.

Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders in educational settings.
