Samaj Pragati Sahayog is one of India's largest grassroots initiatives working for the empowerment of marginalized communities through sustainable development practices. Our work spans rural livelihoods, natural resource management, and policy advocacy, with a focus on inclusive growth and development.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled documentation professional to join our team. The candidate should have a strong command of the English language, with experience in writing insightful reports, drafting proposals, and managing communication with funding organizations. This role is critical in helping us articulate our work and its impact, as well as ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports to various stakeholders, including funding partners. Remuneration shall be commensurate with the profile of the
candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Report Writing:
• Prepare, edit, and finalize reports that highlight the impact of SPS’s programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with field teams and program leads to collect relevant data, stories, and insights for documentation.
2. Communication with Funding Organizations:
• Serve as a point of contact for funding organizations regarding documentation and reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports, proposals, and other documentation as required by donors.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all communications, submissions, and deadlines with funding partners.
3. Documentation & Knowledge Management:
• Develop and maintain a repository of reports, proposals, and other organizational documents.
• Ensure that documentation processes are streamlined and adhere to organizational standards.
• Support knowledge-sharing efforts by contributing to newsletters, blogs, and other internal/external publications.
Qualifications & Experience:
• At least Master’s degree in English/Communications/ Development Studies, or a related field.
• Experience in report writing, documentation, and proposal drafting, preferably in the development sector.
• Strong command of English with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with the requirements of donor agencies and the ability to write persuasive grant proposals.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant documentation tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
