About Reach India Trust
Reach India started its journey as a training and capacity building organization. Over the years we have developed our core expertise in training and capacity building processes and along with that have developed a comprehensive package of trainings, implementation and technical support. Reach’s core expertise reside in population health subjects including reproductive sexual health, rights, maternal and child health , nutrition, gender education, sanitation and WASH. This core is linked to other thematic areas such as livelihoods, financial education and skill building/vocational skills, as we foresee, to impart knowledge, life skills and also facilitate employment and market linkages for the young women, adolescent girls and youth.
About the Project:
Reach India Trust with support from its corporate partner Tech Mahindra Foundation is currently implementing a program on vocational skill building for unemployed and marginally poor youths. The program known as SMART promotes market appropriate skills for youths mobilised from urban slums, provide 4 months course to them, grooming them for interviews and with support of employers assist them to gain better employability options.
Job Title: Counsellor
Positions: 1 (One)
Location - Kolkata
Qualification: The candidate should be master’s in psychology and have minimum 2-3 years of experience in Counselling. He or she should have good command over the subject Counselling. Working experience in development sector will be preferred. Age criteria would be within 40 years. The candidate should be willing to travel within Kolkata for Counselling purpose.
Job Description:
• Regularly being an active part of counselling and screening across all SMART Skill development centers in Kolkata.
• Motivate and nurture the youth candidates aged between 18-27 years so that they are prepared enough for the job interviews and ready to take placements.
• Regularly travel from Centre to centers in Kolkata as per need of the centers.
Core duties and responsibilities:
• Professionally manage the Screening and counselling sessions in SMART Centers.
• Monitoring the Career Counselling and Screening process.
• Provide guidance and support to the screened candidates for their job placements.
• Submit reports in the specified formats designed by the donor and the Reach India Trust as a mandatory compliance.
Report writing and Documentation:
• Documentation on the counselling activities of the centre as Reach India initiatives.
• Coordinate, implement and document the counselling processes with the support of other staff.
• Assist in the process of placement and reporting as and when needed.
CTC: Up to INR 3 Lakh 60 Thousand per Annum. (Depending on Candidate’s experience)
