About the Program:
CID from its inception is standing with its core value, commitment towards weaker sections of the society especially children, women, tribal and Dalits in particular, and deprived sections of society in general. CID's efforts and achievements on Sahariya tribal rights through its program are recognized by various segments of society. In this sequence, CID progressed a step ahead by launching a community-based program aimed at supporting the Sahariya tribal community. The program titled “ Improving the quality of life for the Sahariya community by enhancing health and nutrition conditions, securing tenurial rights, and improving access to government schemes by strengthening community-based institutions in 40 hamlets of the Kolaras block in Shivpuri district.” focuses on improving health outcomes, enhancing access to healthcare, and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for the one of the most primitive forest dependent Sahariya tribal community. CID is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our field team and make a meaningful impact.
Position Overview:
Field mobilizer will be responsible for implementing project activities at the grassroots level in the habitats of Sahariya tribal community. The roles include community engagement, conducting health awareness sessions, supporting Forest right and community interventions, and ensuring the program’s objectives are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with the Sahariya tribal community to promote health and livelihood initiatives.
• Conduct health awareness campaigns and mobilize community participation in health camps.
• Support in the implementation of forest-based livelihood using FRA.
• Coordinate with local authorities and healthcare providers to ensure access to essential services.
• Monitor and report on field activities and progress.
• Build trust and rapport with the community to foster participation and ownership.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Passion for community development and working with marginalized communities.
• Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor's in Social Work, or related field.
• Prior experience in fieldwork, particularly in health or Forest dependents community-based programs, is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Sahariya tribal community and their culture will be an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively in local dialects (knowledge of the Sahariya dialect is a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in remote areas.
Compensation:
• Salary will be based on the candidate's experience. When posting for the job, candidates are advised to mention their previous salary and expected salary.
