REACH is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against Tuberculosis (TB). Established in 1998-99, REACH has worked in over 25 states across the country. From January 2025, REACH will be implementing the SCORE TB (Strategic, integrated and Comprehensive Outreach for Respiratory health, towards Ending TB in India) project with the support of the Stop TB Partnership, through the TB REACH Wave 11 Mechanism, to provide integrated lung health care. The SCORE TB project will improve access to comprehensive services for TB & Chronic Respiratory diseases in the project districts.
REACH is currently recruiting for 4 District Programme Coordinators, to be based in the following districts of Bihar: Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur and in the following districts of Tamil Nadu: Dindigul and Theni. The District Programme Coordinator will be responsible for implementation of the project and all activities in their respective districts.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Oversee the overall implementation of the project within the designated districts.
• Develop district-level activity plans aligned with the broader Project Activity Plan.
• Provide daily coordination, supervision, and monitoring support to community health workers for project-related activities.
• Coordinate with the District TB Cell, NTEP staff, Respiratory medicine department in tertiary health care facilities within the district to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Ensure the achievement of monthly and quarterly project targets.
• Plan and organize training sessions and workshops in coordination with District TB Cells (DTC), as needed.
• Conduct regular review meetings with project team at the district or state level.
• Participate in all required training and review meetings.
• Submit monthly activity plans and reports in a timely manner.
• Validate all project data as necessary.
• Verify and approve district/field-level invoices and bills as required.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of all project activities.
• Regular visit to all health facilities
• Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and other necessary documentation.
• Travel to the state capital or other districts as needed for the implementation of planned activities.
• Manage logistics for district-level activities as required.
• Regular monitoring and validation of activities in the facilities and sharing reports
• Represent REACH at district-level meetings when necessary.
• Share monthly updates and reports with DTO and HOD of Respiratory medicine
• Prompt escalation of challenges to the supervisor as needed
• Perform any other assigned duties related to the project.
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:
• Graduate/Post graduate in social work, Rural Development, Public Health or related field
• Experience of minimum 5 years, preferably 8+ years in project implementation
• Knowledge of TB and the functioning of the TB programme preferred
• Exemplary analytical, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Prior experience of working in the district for which applications are invited
• Experience in field data verification and validation of field invoices preferred
• Understanding of monitoring and evaluation systems, and public health data.
• Knowledge of using MS Word, Excel etc for programmatic and financial reporting essential
• Ability to work closely with health officials
• High ethical standards and transparent working style
• Fluency in English and Hindi/Tamil
• Willingness to carry out a wide range of activities, including both professional and logistical tasks
• Willingness to travel extensively across the district
