Mobile Creches, (MC) a pioneer NGO, has been operational since 1969, reaching child care and health services to more than 15,000 children every year, through workplace and community based crèches and daycare centres.

MC pioneered the cause of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and focuses on the young child under six years in urban slums and the migrant child, at construction site. MC’s multi-pronged approach- working with construction worker’s children, urban slum communities training and ECD partnership address both the short and long term needs of children. It is officially recognized as a technical resource by the government and is on the path by scaling up with government and other players in civil society.

Designation- BI and Database Manager

Level/ Band-

Geographical Location: National Office

Reporting to (Position): Chief Technology Officer Reported By:

Educational Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Salary Range : 50k – 70k

Total work Experience in the relevant field- - min 5Yrs

Job Description–

The BI and Database Manager will work closely with the CTO to develop and implement the organization’s business intelligence and database management strategies. This role involves overseeing data analysis, managing BI projects, and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of database systems and ensuring the delivery of actionable insights to support decision-making.

: Key responsibilities include

• Work closely with the CTO to develop and execute the technology roadmap.

• Ensure BI and database initiatives align with business goals and objectives.

• Identify opportunities to leverage all data across all applications for strategic decision- making

• Participate in discussions with department heads to understand their specific business requirements and build business requirement document with key metrics.

• Oversee the development and management of BI reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools.

• Should be able to build and manage data warehouse repository by integrating all application data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity so as to bring in one source of truth

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Should be able to Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

• Should be able to run SQL queries to bring data to meaningful outcomes

• Should be able to design, code, test and deploy meaningful reports for business decisions

• Work closely with cross functional team to integrate BI solutions and oversee that the data from custom applications is part of the overall data elements and design of the custom application sna master data sets.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems and ensure database security, performance, and reliability is not compromised.

• Manage data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.

• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, to ensure alignment and understanding of IT initiatives

Important key skills required-

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

• Excellent data analysis and visualisation abilities.

• Proficiency in BI tools viz, Power BI, SQL and other tools

• Proficiency in database management systems (MYSQL, SQL, PostgreSQL and others)

• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.

• Knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with cloud computing

Familiarity with budgeting and financial planning for IT investments.
