Associate - CCI (Child Care Institution) Project, Punjab
Location: Jalandhar (Female only)
We seek a passionate and dynamic woman candiate to join our team as Project Coordinator for a Child Care institutions (CCIs) project on Art, Education and Mental Well-being. This role requires creativity, empathy, and the ability to engage with children from disadvantaged backgrounds effectively.
There are two homes in the premises: the Girls in Transit Home and the Children's Home for Girls, and you will be required to work with both.
A. Project Delivery
• Manage multiple functions of teams, plan the tasks, discuss progress and address problems with team members; monitor the performance of operations in the field.
• Manage and implement the project deliverables across the designated Child care Institutions in adherence to the project guidelines and compliance
• Conduct regular discussions with the Project team, consultants, and facilitators to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Contribute to program design, development, research and content creation (wherever required) and ensure timelines.
• Coordinate with external tutors to provide academic support to children.
• Conduct sessions on mental well being, social Emotional learning sessions for adolescent children in Government run CCIs.
• Provide individual support to children as needed, addressing any concerns or challenges they may face.
• Conduct midline assessments for the children.
B. Managing Staff and Stakeholders:
• Training to CCI staff along with Project Manager on wellbeing, and related concepts.
• Sensitization and building a positive relationship with all stakeholders (staff, Govt deptt., Child Welfare Committee and families).
• Budgetary expenses: Plan the budget for the field, ensure timely payments to vendors and collate and verify bills from the field team and forward to the Manager.
C. Documentation:
• Meticulously document details of sessions conducted and upload it on the organizational MIS system. Develop project reports (monthly, annual) and presentations for internal updates and sharing with all stakeholders.
• Diligently monitor the progress made by each child in the program, maintain records, attendance registers, case journals, etc.
• Record success stories and artifacts for newsletters, presentations and other program-related materials regularly for the purpose of documentation like project reports and communication to the govt/ donor.
• Curate relevant Art resources and materials to support Annual art exhibitions, workshops related to the project.
D. Assessments and self- development:
• Coordinate with Research and Impact (R&I) team and in monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of the programme implementation and outcomes; Conducting baseline and evaluation surveys in location, and documenting all activities
• Participate in the continuous professional development training organized by NalandaWay Foundation.
Important considerations:
• Follow Child Protection Policy and maintain confidentiality, at all costs.
• Closely work with the Project Manager and share regular work updates, and any concerns.
• Time adherence and punctuality will be of utmost importance.
• Be flexible enough to travel across assigned districts of Punjab whenever there is a need for carrying out project related activities
• Create a safe child friendly space and engage with children from varied backgrounds
• Demonstrate patience and perseverance while enabling a safe and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
• Only Women candidates with Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
• Proven experience in facilitating sessions with children especially adolescent ages.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Empathy, patience, sensitivity and a genuine passion for the cause.
