Damien Foundation India Trust Invites application for the post of: “CSR CONSULTANT”

Damien Foundation India Trust (DFIT) is a charitable non-governmental organisation working for leprosy and TB control in India since 1955.  DFIT is currently working in 7 States across India. The main objective of the organization is to provide medical and social rehabilitation for persons affected by leprosy or tuberculosis. DFIT works in close partnership with Government.  

The organization seeks to appoint a consultant in fundraising with a focus on corporate companies under “Corporate Social Responsibility”.  

No. of Position: One  

Location: Chennai.

Preference: Need to travel as required for meetings with potential CSR partners. 

Qualifications and Experience  

Any postgraduate with fundraising experience.

Proven track record of successful CSR fundraising in India, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

In-depth understanding of CSR laws and policies in India, particularly the Companies Act 2013.

Strong networking within the corporate sectors, established good relationships with CSR departments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with issues related to leprosy, TB, or public health will be an added advantage.

Scope of Work

The consultant will be expected to:

1. CSR Strategy Development   

Conduct a landscape analysis of potential CSR donors and partners in India.

Develop a comprehensive CSR fundraising strategy, detailing target sectors, potential corporate partners, and engagement plans.

Identify key CSR trends and suggest innovative approaches to harness CSR funding. 

2. Donor Engagement and Fundraising  

Identify and establish connections with potential corporate partners.

Develop tailored proposals and presentations for corporate entities, highlighting DFIT’s impact and opportunities for collaboration.

Negotiate terms of partnerships and manage agreements. 

3. Compliance and Reporting  

Ensure that all CSR fundraising efforts comply with legal requirements and are aligned with DFIT’s policies.

Assist in monitoring and reporting on the use of funds to corporate donors, adhering to compliance standards. 

4. Capacity Building  

Train DFIT’s staff on engaging with CSR partners and managing corporate relationships.

Develop internal systems and templates for ongoing CSR fundraising activities.

Remuneration: Based on experience.
