Job Summary
Jageswari Jubak Sangha (JJS) is looking for an experienced MIS Officer to support the implementation of the "Hopes to Home (H2H) - Disaster Resilient Housing" project, in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The MIS Officer will work closely with project team, donor ,government officials and other key stakeholders to manage and maintain an effective data management, that will capture and report data critical for monitoring the project’s progress. The role involves collecting the required data, data analysis, generating regular reports, and ensuring data accuracy for effective decision-making and appropriate presentation as per the project requirement.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain the project MIS system to track key project indicators, outputs, and outcomes.
• Collect, compile, and verify data from field staff and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare data analysis, dashboards, and detailed reports on project progress as per program requirements.
• Collaborate with the project team to establish data collection methodologies and ensure adherence to data management protocols.
• Provide technical support in data entry, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the MIS database.
• Conduct data quality checks and ensure data integrity across all MIS systems.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed, presenting insights and trends to project management for informed decision-making.
• Train and support project staff and other stakeholders on data entry, report generation, and the use of MIS tools.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with organizational and regulatory data management standards.
• Assist with the documentation of project outcomes, success stories, and lessons learned for effective communication with donors and stakeholders.
Qualifications, Experience, and Key Competencies:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Any course in data management will be an added advantage
• At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in MIS roles, preferably with NGOs or organizations involved in social development projects.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in data management, database systems, and MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel and Power point.
• Knowledge of database software and analytical tools; familiarity with data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Ability to manage large datasets and generate insightful, user-friendly reports.
• Good communication skills in Hindi, English and Odia, with strong report-writing capabilities.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a demanding environment.
