ABOUT SAHAY

SAHAY is an Indian non-government organization with its presence in West Bengal. The organization was established in 1989. Today it serves 12350 most vulnerable children and youth (aged between 2-19 years) from underprivileged families, with a “holistic development” approach.  The core focus areas of SAHAY are age-appropriate health, education, employment and life skills programmes.

Position Summary

We are looking for an IT Specialist who can help us manage our Information Technology needs. This position will report to the Executive Director.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration of Office 365, Firewall, and Exchange Online setup, standardization, backup, disaster recovery and support

Perform configuration, installation, and other system administration functions

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve outages and other problems related to IT Infrastructure

Provide root cause of system problems, resulting in operational performance degradation or system outages, information and advice on the necessary corrective actions and/or interim workarounds

Assist with migration of data into Office 365 cloud platform and Office 365 SharePoint/Teams

Transfer knowledge to peers to achieve department goals

Train staff on existing and future technologies, as needed

Research, recommend, and help implement new technology and processes

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Collaborate with others to ensure timely configuration and deployment of deliverables

Suggest, implement, and drive adherence to IT policies and best practices organization guidelines

Collaborate with the formulation, monitoring, and execution of IT Infrastructure budgets.

Strictly observe confidentiality and strong ethics with respect to all beneficiary information/financial and other organizational data

Comply with and ensure adherence to organization policies, safety and security protocols and child protections norms and guidelines by all stakeholders both internal and external

Any other tasks or assignments as instructed by the management, according to organizational requirements.

Qualifications & skills

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

BTech/BCA/PGDCA/ Degree/Diploma in Electronics & Communication, or any relevant professional education with at least three to six (3 - 6) years of total work experience in managing an organization’s IT environment.

English Language Proficiency.

Attention to details, logical thinking, organization, time management and communication skills.

Microsoft 365, Firewalls, virtualization, and Azure.

Work independently.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Microsoft & Cisco certifications will be preferred.

The gross compensation will be based upon skills, past experience & achievements.
