CanKids…KidsCan (CanKids), is a highly respected, national, non-profit, with operations in 22 States and 53 cities across India ushering in pioneering care & cure models with agility & innovation while leveraging digital. The organization is dedicated to effecting change and improvement on all aspects of treatment, care and support services, for children with cancer and their families in India.
CanKids has successfully implemented its Access2Care model for Change for Childhood Cancer in India, targeting global survival rates of 70-95% and high quality of life for child cancer patients, families and survivors. The Access2Care model delivers holistic support to families of children with cancer under its signature YANA – You Are Not Alone program, delivered through CanKids Hospital Support Units (CHSUs) and CanKids Care Centres (CCCs), at hospitals where children are being treated for cancer.
CanKids has supported over 50,000 families of children with cancer under its Access2Care program of holistic care and support. CanKids presently has a team of over 2,400 persons, including full-time professionals, honorary members, energized survivors and committed volunteers from diverse backgrounds, working across India. Cankids partners with India and Globally and receives support for its programmes and initiatives from leading Corporate entities, Public sector entities, Bilateral agencies, HNIs, Family Trusts, amongst others.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Human Capital Resource Officer (CHcRO) shall be responsible for leading human resources planning, and management and the learning and development function across the organization.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for leveraging the organization’s existing human resources to their fullest potential; align HR strategy to CanKids mission and vision and provide leadership support to HR and Learning and Development function; Leads HR strategically to support HQ, regional, and program-specific needs. Works with other CXOs to achieve Cankids’ mission.
• Design overall framework, process flows and policies for the HR and Learning and Development functions.
• Lead talent acquisition and management, induction, discipline, grievance, counselling, staff contracts, policies and statutory compliances.
• Lead and manage the PMS (Performance Management System).
• Develop and implement comprehensive, competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits plans.
• Develop and implement OD strategies, including reward and recognition systems.
• Identify capacity building needs, conceptualize innovative and flexible methods to address the developmental and capacity building needs identified, including identification of external training programs and conferences, design and delivery of in-house training sessions, enrolment in online learning programs, coaching, mentoring, self-learning, and other methods, as appropriate including 360-degree feedback.
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, employee welfare services and counselling; Manage grievance system and disciplinary proceedings.
• Ensure smooth implementation of HR related MIS and Record Management systems, automated payroll systems and HR Division’s budget.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee experience, employee happiness and retention
• Any other reasonable linked/ related work that may be assigned/ expected.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicants must have a post-graduate Degree/ MBA in HR, or related field.
Experience:
Applicants must have a minimum of 18 years of experience in nurturing talent and human capital in growth-oriented organizations, of which at least five years must be in leadership roles. Prior roles like VP HR or CHRO or Director HR or Chief people Officer or GM HR would be preferable. Experience in non-profit sector is also desirable.

• Constructive and progressive orientation towards nurturing and strengthening the right culture.
• Understanding and practice of PMS and L&D models & tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Comfortable with volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) work environments.
• Good command over oral and written communication skills both in English and Hindi.
• Willingness to travel (about 20% of time).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Computer proficiency suiting the job-requirement.
