MAMTA HIMC is currently looking for applications from competent and experienced Project Coordinator as part of team for coordinating activities on ground for smooth implementation of project that aims at improving health status of truck drivers in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating various activities at ground level for smooth program implementation. Broadly, this will include team management, financial management, stakeholder liaising, maintaining data quality, documentation, monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Human resource management
Maintain the database of the project staff and coordinate with the Mamta HO team from time to time for HR management. Effective coordination with the project team for planning, implementing and reporting various project activities.
• Financial management
Monitor and manage the financial component of the project in coordination with the Mamta HO team. Managing procurement procedures at local level according to organizational norms and under guidance of Senior Program Manager HO.
• Implementation
Manage the project effectively by preparing work plans, monitoring the progress of project activities, having regular review meetings with staff, and identifying the bottlenecks in implementation and possible solutions for successful outputs and outcomes. PC will also undertake supervisory visits in field to monitor the quality of services and submit the reports as required on a predefined frequency. Supervise daily camp records as per route map, support team in camp setup, and coordinate with the key stakeholders in the community. Keeping track of achievements and backlog against plan and ensuring the timely & meaningful achievement of planned targets.
• Documentation and reporting
Develop capacity-building modules and innovative training materials/case studies/tools etc. as per the requirement of the project. Writing reports on a monthly or quarterly basis and timely submission to concerned authorities including case stories.
• Data management
Work in close coordination MIS team (HO) for ensuring excellent data quality and analysis using result based management framework.
• Liaising and coordination
Develop effective liaison with stakeholders from Truckers Associations, Transporters and District and local level health department and other government counterparts, and community stakeholders for program planning and implementation, seek potential solutions and gain successful outcomes. Sharing of learning, and best practices with the Associations, department and other stakeholders through regular meetings for generating support to effectively achieve the project objectives.
• Perform other duties time to time according to project and organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
• Masters in Social Science /MSW/MPH with a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in coordinating health and development interventions with district, and block-level officials.
• Experience working in the Public Health Sector is essential.
• Thorough understanding and proven ability in managing community-based projects especially in public health that includes planning, operationalization, monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
• Excellent written and communication skills in English and Hindi with a focus on sharing experience and building capacity.
• Managerial and leadership skills
• Good computer skills, especially in MS Office and Internet.
• Willingness to travel in the field to support, and support project activities.
• Ability to accomplish tasks within time limits.
• Candidates with good command over local language in Vijaywada.
• Local candidate will be preferred.
