Himmotthan Society, a Dehradun (Uttarakhand) based organization registered in 2007 under the Societies Registration Act 1860, promotes rural development projects on Natural Resource Management, Livelihood, Education and Sports themes within the Central Himalayan Regions in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh (www.himmotthan.org). Established under the aegis of the Tata Trust, Mumbai, Himmotthan works closely and collaboratively with the State Government of Uttarakhand on rural development and resource management programmes.

Position: Accountant cum MIS

Location: Baijnath, Kangra with frequent travel to Rait block

Number of Posts: 1

Nature of Role: Fixed Term/Contractual

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Accountant cum MIS will be responsible for managing financial and MIS operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting and accounting tasks. The incumbent should have excellent financial and analytical skills and be proficient in computer applications. Key responsibilities include:

1. Budget Management: Preparing monthly budget projections and tracking their utilization.

2. Vendor Invoice Management: Reviewing and maintaining vendor invoices.

3. Transaction Management: Ensuring accurate recording of all incoming and outgoing transactions in the correct accounts.

4. Stock Management: Maintaining a record of monthly stock of consumables.

5. Reporting: Generating and submitting monthly financial and MIS reports on time.

6. Data Management: Maintaining and updating farmer and production data.

7. Travel Expense Checking: Verifying and checking travel and tour expenses.

8. CBO Accounts Management: Managing the accounts of all Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

9. Software Management: Assisting in software management as per senior management’s guidance.

Educational Qualification:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Commerce.

• Preferred: Diploma in Computer Applications.

• Additional Advantage: Specialization in Accountancy.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in financial management software.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
