AASRAA is an education trust established in 2009 to work towards empowering street and slum children through education, vocational training, nutrition, medical care and providing shelter homes.
Our mission is to level the playing field for children who have neither seen books nor stepped into a school. The children we work with come from extremely impoverished backgrounds and are mostly rag pickers, beggars, addicts, runaways and orphans.
Job Description: Career Counsellor
Conduct trainings, workshops, lectures, presentations, and other events to develop career planning for students and career awareness events for students.
Evaluate students’ abilities and interests through aptitude assessments, interviews, and individual planning.
Identify issues that affect school performance.
Help students understand and overcome social or behavioral problem s through classroom guidance lessons and counseling.
Work with students to develop skills, such as organizational and time management abilities and effective study habits.
Help students create a plan to achieve academic and career goals.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to help students succeed.
Advise students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers.
Helping students enroll for aptitude and personality development tests.
Conducting mock interviews to help students with interview preparations.
Helping students select and apply for educational programs, to obtain the necessary degrees, credentials, and skills.
Develop career services programs that will help student in exploring and planning career options.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Relevant experience in counselling, with a focus on children and adolescents.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathetic and compassionate approach to counselling.
Knowledge of crisis intervention and trauma-informed practices.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
