“TOR” for NOHP Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
• To improve technical as well as program management support for planning and implementation of the National Oral Health Programme
• To support the development of IEC for National Oral Health Programme
• To monitor the implementation of National Oral Health Programme
• To facilitate capacity building of the Oral Health Workforce (development of training modules, training programs, evaluation etc.)
Qualification:
Essential:
i. BDS with MDS or
ii. BDS with Masters in Public Health (MPH) with at least 2 years’ experience in related field
Should be registered with Dental Council of India
Desirable:
Experience in Oral Health or any other Public Health Program
Contract period:
Initially, it will be for a period of one year from date of joining to the post. The first three months will be on trial basis. The contract will be subject to the satisfactory performance. The contract can, however, be terminated by either party by giving a notice of one month in writing.
Renewal of contract:
On successful completion of initial contract period, the contract can be renewed/extended on mutual agreement on the existing terms & condition
Remuneration:
Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lakh only) per month. The consultant shall not be exempted from taxation or entitled to reimbursement of any taxes which may be levied as per existing rules on the remuneration received.
Guidelines for Travel:
The consultant shall undertake official travel only when directed by the reporting officer. The consultant will adhere to travel rules as prescribed above.
Travel and subsistence:
The consultant should be ready to travel extensively to State/District/Block/Village levels. The entitlement for Air/Train travel, Accommodation and Local Conveyance are as under:

1. Air travel - Economy class (check fares – not full fare economy).
2. Train travel - Second AC – Tickets are required for claim settlement.
3. Hotel Accommodation - Rs.3000/- per day including room rent and food charges.
4. Local conveyance - Taxi Charges as per actual (with bills)
