PrEP Counsellor

Location : Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkatta/Guwahati

• Promote project PrEPARED at various social networking sites, provide information and counselling on PrEP and motivate clients to initiate PrEP.

• Guide and help the clients for booking their appointment in their nearest / convenient health facility for PrEP initiation by using online/offline referral services system of the project.

• Provide support to the referred clients to access HIV/STI testing services and follow up with them to know their testing status and motivate for PrEP initiation.

• Regular reporting and documentation of engagement, service referrals and PrEP linkages.

• Engage with private health care providers for partnership in delivery PrEP and related health care services to the LGBTQ+ community.

• Provide counselling services to clients referred by the PrEP motivator

• Provide handholding support, verify data, provide training, monitor the progress update of the PrEP motivators.

• Provide supportive supervision to the PrEP motivators.

• Monthly planning with PrEP motivators to achieve project targets.

• Carrying out any of the duties which fall within the broad scope and mandate of Project PrEPARED.

Qualifications, Experience and competencies –

• Qualification: MSW with a specialization in Counselling or any related discipline.

• Display a clear commitment to the community work.

• Two years of relevant experience in HIV or health care sector.

• Knowledge of working on social networking sites various net-based forums is mandatory.

• Good Communication Skills

• Ability to speak and write in English, Hindi; and additional knowledge of regional language or other regional languages is a plus.
