Job Description – Program Manager - Skill Development
Key Responsibilities
1. Create and manage the academic calendar and ensure programs run as planned.
2. Track and evaluate student and trainer performance in vocational courses.
3. Work with the academic team to update and improve the curriculum regularly.
4. Oversee the teaching of vocational programs, ensuring quality and engagement.
5. Guide trainers to ensure effective learning outcomes for students.
6. Monitor student progress and provide additional support as needed.
7. Mentor trainers to help them grow professionally and improve their teaching skills.
8. Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for staff development.
9. Encourage new teaching techniques to make learning more effective.
10. Create a supportive and inclusive environment for students’ overall growth.
11. Develop strategies to promote student well-being, discipline, and character development.
12. Collaborate with counselors and support staff to address student challenges.
13. Oversee daily operations, including budget management and resource allocation.
14. Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.
15. Maintain records of student attendance, enrollment, and academic performance.
16. Build positive relationships among team members and provide support as needed.
17. Supervise staff performance and encourage professional development.
18. Mentor new team members and guide pre-service teachers.
19. Set clear goals for curriculum standards and track student performance data.
20. Oversee the preparation and implementation of lesson plans and assessments.
Note: Additional smaller coordination-related tasks may arise based on the Trust’s requirements.
Education and Experience requirements
Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s degree preferred).
Core experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in managing educational programs or leading teams.
Preferable Knowledge/Experience
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with school administrative processes and educational regulations.
Competencies Required
• Technical competencies: Experience in educational program management and curriculum design.
• Behavioral competencies: Leadership and mentoring abilities..
