Position Title: Team Leader – Fundraising & Donor Relations
Cell: Development Cell, Katha
Location: New Delhi
Employment Status: Permanent/Contractual
Reporting to: Executive Director
Salary: Up to Rs.12 lakhs per annum, depending on experience and expertise
Qualifications Required
Educational Background
• Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or a master’s degree in any Social Development-related field.
Experience
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development roles.
Skills
• Language: Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Technical: Strong command over MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools.
• Documentation: Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Personal Attributes: Ability to manage pressure and prioritize urgent tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
A. Relationship Management with Existing Donor Partners
1. Organize and facilitate donor project site visits.
2. Share updates, pictures, and highlights to keep donors informed about project progress.
3. Engage donors through volunteering opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
4. Address donor queries and requests promptly and professionally.
5. Sustain long-term relationships with existing donors.
6. Enhance donor visibility via branding, social media, and acknowledgment strategies.
B. Timely Reporting
1. Understand project deliverables and timelines as per donor agreements.
2. Submit periodic reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Yearly, Annual) to donors on time.
3. Use visual and graphical elements to make reports engaging.
4. Share impactful case studies and success stories.
5. Monitor fund receipts and ensure compliance with timelines.
6. Send acknowledgment letters, including “80G” certificates and Thank You notes.
C. Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
1. Draft compelling grant proposals, pitches, and concept notes.
2. Identify CSR funding opportunities and maintain an updated donor database.
3. Respond to donor tenders, calls for proposals, and online submission opportunities.
4. Represent Katha in donor meetings and conduct follow-ups.
5. Conduct research to identify potential individual donors.
6. Generate individual donations to support organizational initiatives.
7. Develop strategies for in-kind donations, including resources and materials for projects.
8. Build and nurture partnerships for sustainable resource inflows.
9. Develop a network of individual donors, High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), and family trusts and foundations.

This role is essential to enhance donor engagement, secure funding, foster long-term collaborations, and mobilize resources (both financial and in-kind) to support Katha’s impactful initiatives.
