Reports to: DEPUTY COUNTRY DIRECTOR 

Job Description of the Position

The Program Manager is an overall lead of mid scale program and he / she will be responsible for the implementation of the program in communities. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Leading Healthy Cities program which will include planning and execution of the program to meet the program goals and expectations

Ensure that the program is adequately staffed and trained

Liaison with government organizations and secondary/ tertiary health facilities.

Monitoring and supervision of day-to-day operations for delivery of interventions with regular review

Establish reporting systems to document program progress which will include Monthly reporting, analysis and documentation of progress.

Work closely with all other functional managers including the donors

Coordinate with other implementation partners on developing event design, messaging, planning and beneficiary engagement

Lead on advocacy efforts with the govt., private sector and other stakeholder

Implementation of employee engagement and other related activities to generate future links and opportunities with donors.

Responsible for preparing and monitor the programme budget and ensure that the activities are managed within the programmed budget

Coordinate with the finance team for budget monitoring, grant disbursements and receipt of grant from donors 

Required Qualifications and Experience

Masters/Bachelors degree in Public Health with at least 8-10 years of related work experience in Health Care Programs

Proven track record of developing and managing high quality and innovative development programmes independently, preferably on WASH, Schools Program and Mobile Medical Clinics.

Experience of research and data analysis with programme planning and design, monitoring and evaluation techniques will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

Confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision with team management skills.

Ability to work in support of and collaboratively with a range of people at all levels. Computer and Internet competency is required. 

Understanding of good M & E, financial and budget management  

Works effectively within a variety of situations, individuals and groups.

Communicates clearly and professionally in written and oral forms. Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi are required.

Aptitude for external linking, learning and representation with a clear ability 

Experience of donor management is required.
