Position: Pharmacist

Project: Clinic on wheels

Location: Bahraich & Balrampur district, Uttar Pradesh

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: Minimum 1-3 years (Preferred in Primary Healthcare or Rural Health Services)

Qualification: Diploma/Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (D.Pharm/B.Pharm) (Registered with State Pharmacy Council).

Job Summary:

We are looking for a pharmacist to support the Clinic on wheels Project by managing medicine inventory, dispensing prescribed drugs, and ensuring proper storage and distribution of medicines. The role requires working closely with doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff to ensure effective healthcare delivery in underserved areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications as per doctor's prescriptions.

• Maintain accurate records of issued medicines and stock inventory.

• Ensure proper storage, handling, and expiry monitoring of medicines.

• Educate patients on correct medication usage, dosage, and possible side effects.

• Assist in procurement and restocking of essential drugs.

• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.

• Coordinate with the MMU team to ensure smooth healthcare delivery.

• Support in health awareness programs related to medication adherence.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and prescription guidelines.

• Good inventory management and record-keeping skills.

• Basic understanding of public health and rural healthcare needs.

• Effective communication and patient counseling skills.

• Ability to work in field/rural settings and travel as per project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in primary healthcare, community health, or government health projects is preferred.

• Certification in public health or pharmacovigilance is an advantage.
