Lutheran World Service India Trust (LWSIT) is inviting applications from the suitable candidates for the following position:

Job title : Project Associate (Accounts Related position)

Project Name : Transboundary Flood Resilience (TFR) Project in South Asia, Assam, India

Job Location : Gossaigaon of Kokrajhar District, Assam

Reporting To : Project Coordinator

Nature of Employment: Contractual

About the Organization: Lutheran World Service India Trust is a national NGO implementing development programs in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Assam and Jharkhand, while it implements major humanitarian response projects as pan India program.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies required:

• Be a Commerce Graduate with minimum 3 to 5 years’ of work experience of managing accounts, finance and store related activities;

• Excellent command over TALLY – ERP software and must have complete practical knowledge & concept of accounting;

• Should have knowledge of GST, Income Tax & TDS law & regulations;

• Shall be responsible for maintaining proper accounts, vouchers and keeping them up-to-date;

• Checking the bills/ voucher received from project staff and keep update;

• Make all payments by cash/Cheque as per situation, issue money receipt while receiving money;

• Maintain daily cash book manually/electronically and daily cash-in-hand report including cash denomination report;

• Prepare Budget vs Expenditure report and submit to Project Coordinator for onward sharing with National Office, Kolkata;

• Prepare bank reconciliation statement on monthly basis obtaining information from the banks and send to National Office;

• Maintain all other financial records as may be required from time to time.
