Who are we looking for?
The Senior Clinical Consultant will be responsible for leading and managing the training of providers in a project focused on training private-sector gynecologists for contraceptive Implant insertion and removal. This role is responsible for conducting trainings, ensuring adherence to protocols, maintaining high training quality and managing and supervising state teams. The position requires a highly skilled professional with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in conducting clinical trainings. A postgraduate degree / residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, experience in a program related to sexual and reproductive health and, experience of working with Ob-gyns and FOGSI network is preferable. Further, excellent communication skills, experience in managing teams, familiarity with the state’s geography and fluency in the regional language, would enable a candidate to be well suited for the role. The position involves extensive travel (up to 60%) to project areas.
What would you be expected to do?
The key responsibilities of the role are:
Lead and facilitate training sessions on contraceptive Implant insertion and removal.
Ensure that all trainings adhere to standardized clinical protocols and quality benchmarks.
Conduct competency assessments and provide hands-on guidance to providers during training.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, identify challenges in training implementation and proactively recommend solutions.
Work closely with the Associate Director - Client Partnership to achieve project training goals and timelines for the assigned state.
Collaborate with the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and other key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and ensure smooth training implementation.
Represent IDF at relevant meetings, and forums as needed.
Provide mentoring, supervision, and capacity-building support to the state project team.
Ensure compliance with organizational HR and administrative policies within the state team.
