ASCI is an autonomous body working under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), dedicated to enhancing vocational education and creating National Occupational Standards (NOS) for agriculture and allied sectors. Our mission involves promoting employment, facilitating government skilling initiatives and organizing Rozgar Melas in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
In past 13 years, ASCI has trained & certified approximately 1.4 million workforce comprising of farmers, wage workers, entrepreneurs and extension workers across Pan India under the different schemes and domain of agriculture and allied segments.
Role Purpose The applicant will develop, implement and manage State partnership strategy which helps to fulfil ASCI’s strategic and fundraising objectives. The applicant will expand targeted new partnerships, manage and monitor day to day relationships for corporate partnerships, monitor training and plan & develop and undertake CSR Projects proposals and other special events related to regional engagements.
Responsibility Areas
Operational
• Operationalising Regional Office at Gurgaon & Guwahati
• Developing Partnerships with various Departments of states Governments in the South and Central India on Agriculture Capacity Building (Horticulture, Dairy, Poultry, Fishery, Agro Forestry and Piggery) from Bangalore.
• Identification CSR opportunities and implementation of CSR projects in line with the companies overarching CSR program
• Identifying, approaching to the donor companies, writing CSR proposals and applications for various grants and programs coordinating with multiple stakeholders and summarizing the information succinctly and effectively in the proposal documents.
• Undertake research, monitor, and analyse Donors’ CSR policy & mandates, CSR spending patterns, CSR reporting, and social media updates, and the applicable regulatory framework
• Advocacy with relevant state level institutions for skill development trainings for accredited vocational training programmes and share good practices.
• Identification of capable Training Providers/ Institutions which can be ideal TPs.
• May entail providing information and attending some meetings for / on behalf of sister Sector Skill Councils too.
• This involves working closely with the partners for the project in identifying the people working in informal sector who show an interest in being trained to upgrade their skills and liaise with skills building institutions at state and national level
• Supporting National Lead in case required
• Willing to travel for 7-10 days in each month
• Please note that ours is a Pan India Organization and you can be transferred to other Location (if required)

Educational Qualification
MBA/ PG in Agri Business from premier Management Institutes IRMA/ MANAGE/ NIAM/ IIPM/ VAMNICOM / SYMBIOSIS or from Pantnagar or Central Agriculture University would be preferred
Experience (no. of years &kind):
Minimum of 10 Years of experience and having worked on large projects with an in depth demonstrated understanding of skill development in agriculture.
Note:
1.Salary: Around 10 -12 Lakhs (Commensurate with Experience) plus medical insurance and Gratuity
2. For first 3 months’ managers would have to operate out of ASCI- Head Office at Gurgaon

Agriculture and allied activities accounts for about 15.7 % of country's GDP and is estimated to employ about 124.7 million people as cultivators and 106.8 million as agricultural labour (Census 2001).
Besides this Agriculture Industry employs a large number of people in the Organized and the Unorganized sector, the data pertaining to the same is however not available.
Based on the assumptions of Food Grain Production and Manpower required to handle the total produced, the same is derived at (0.20 Million) for Organized and (1.95 Million) for Unorganized sector.
