Job-Level: Entry-level/ junior -level professional
The main duties and responsibilities include and not limited to:
Communications:
• Understanding SA’s projects, their approaches and unique aspects
• Contributing articles and blogs to SA’s monthly newsletter and external publications
• Giving inputs for SA’s social media posts
• Contributing to award applications
• Preparing presentations as required by the Executive Director and senior staff
• Preparing and translating case stories and Human interest stories in coordination with field staff
• Keeping a record of SA’s important events
• Assisting the Communications and Fundraising Manager to accomplish goals of the Department
Fundraising:
• Conducting research on fundraising opportunities.
• Prepare briefs about the organisation, its work and proposal brief to initiate the communication with potential individual donors/foundations etc.
• Writing concept notes and contributing to funding proposals and ensuring their timely submission.
• Promote crowdfunding on various platforms.
• Coming up with ingenious and innovative ways to raise awareness including promotional campaigns and fundraisers
• Preparing templates and collaterals ready for additional or supportive information building about the organisation, its work, employees and even future plans
• Keep him/herself abreast with the updates in the organisation and accordingly formulate the documents being prepared.
• Prepare and maintain a database of potential funders, levels of communication with the potential funders, next cycle of engagement and a log of progress about the communications.
• Prepare and submit reports to donor regularly
• Establish newer ways of fundraising within the organisation to diversify the network.
• Support the documentation of the activities of the organisation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with specialization in PR, Communications, Fundraising, Business Management, MBA Marketing/ finance or Architecture.
• Minimum 1-2 year of experience in Communications and/ or Fundraising for Non-profits.
• Understanding of the Non-profit sector or a willingness to learn.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
• Fluency in Both English and Marathi is necessary
• Enterprising nature with very good networking skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office-Excel, Power point, Word and Canva
• Event organizing experience (desirable)
