Team Lead (IT / MIS)

Aajeevika Bureau, headquartered in Udaipur, is an established social enterprise with a vision to secure, dignified lives of communities dependent on labour and migration (www.aajeevika.org). Aajeevika Bureau (AB) is a multi-state not for profit organisation with teams engaged in skilling, legal aid, social security, women’s empowerment, workers’ mobilisation and research – policy programs. On the ground we operate through a network of workers facilitation centres in rural areas of Rajasthan and in cities of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

We are looking for a competent and committed colleague to lead our overall IT and MIS functions – both in terms of managing the existing system and architecture, as well as improving its efficiency basis the inputs from various programs teams and leadership. This is a key management support role in the organization – the Team Lead (IT/MIS) will work closely with the Management and Leadership Group.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Team Lead (IT / MIS) will be responsible for overall management of data and technology infrastructure for Aajeevika Bureau, along with support from system architechture experts who are associated as consultants. The roles associated with this position are as follows:

Website, various online portals and server management

Overall management of program specific CRMs

Design, execution and monitoring of the MIS platform for various programs

Knowledge of platforms like Kobo Toolbox, Microsoft Office 365 suit, Google suite, ERPs like Zoho, Salesforce etc.

IT hardware support – procurement, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Ensuring new features, functionalities and tools in the MIS / IT platform to improve processes

Ensuring digital security and of the data protection

Training and handholding of field teams in setting up, usage, as well as updation of data

Certain capabilities and experience will be a big plus:

Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and/or Google G suite based back-office setup

Knowledge and experience of ERPs like Zoho, Salesforce, Odoo (OpenERP) etc.

Some software development experience in web and/or database-driven applications; experience in working with external software vendors and engaging new ones

Knowledge, understanding of data security, data compliance and governance

Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation software

We are looking for a colleague formally trained in IT/MIS systems with at least 7 - 8 years of hands-on experience. Prior experience of managing the IT and MIS for a mid-sized non-profit organization will be an immense advantage. A well-recognized, relevant degree is essential but more importantly, experience and an ability to lead the IT/MIS function independently is required. While there will be support and guidance available from advisors/consultants – the problem solving, design thinking and operationalizing related systems and processes will be expected at all times.

We are a non-profit organisation with a strong service orientation. Our field teams are located in rural areas and they work in difficult conditions with basic resources. It is expected of all senior colleagues in support functions to travel and offer on-ground hand-holding to the teams. Remuneration

Our remuneration matches scales of professional, field based NGOs in Rajasthan. We are looking for a long term colleague and will make our salary offer based on the skills and experience of the candidate within a range of 9-11LPA.
