Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day internal and external communications and marketing activities of the
organization
• Maintain a strong brand for the organization, including impactful and fit-for-purpose publications,
website, social media, and merchandise which includes developing reports, case studies,
success stories, field stories, videos, photos, newsletters, annual reports, and other media
content that can be put out to spread awareness of work and garner support.
• Maintain and update the website regularly to ensure that work is posted regularly for public
view
• Identifying and creating content for different stakeholder categories, taking into consideration
the most effective media to engage with them
• Manage volunteer engagement for the organization
• Monitoring and analyzing the response to content types and modifying content to ensure
maximum engagement
• Co-ordinate media and public affairs activities to promote Vipla Foundation and monitor media
and current affairs developments, across a wide range of media that would be relevant to
the organization
• Prepare press statements and articles on the work done by the organization
• Ensure that the communication outputs are of a high standard, respond to the needs of the
target audience, and are delivered within agreed budget and timelines
• Managing agency relationships and ensuring timely deliverables based on the brief provided.
• Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.
• Partnerships with stakeholders (schools/colleges/others) and coordinating with internal teams
for the same.
• Managing employee engagement sessions with partners, funders, etc,
• Vendor management
• Responding to queries, comments, and messages from external audiences
• Managing interns for the organization
Skills and Qualities
• Degree in any field, (preferable communications or marketing)
• 4+ years’ experience in a communication, marketing, content creation or journalist role
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to cultivate productive partnerships.
• Knowledge of the environment in which non-governmental organisations operate (preferred)
• Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Expertise in developing effective messaging across various media tailored to diverse audiences.
• Experience managing and editing content for public-facing assets including websites and social media platforms.
