Job Overview:

The Program Director is a senior leadership role responsible for providing vision and overseeing the overall strategy, programs and policies of Skill Education of the Trust which includes the Skill Development Centre. This would include designing new offers, innovative programs for short-term skilling, upskilling and reskilling and work closely with the School and Higher Education verticals to integrate Skilling into their offering

The candidate should provide strategic leadership, have sound understanding of the regulatory framework, ability for liaison with various Government and non-Govt organizations and have strong operational and people management to ensure that the Centre stands out as a Centre of Excellence in Gujarat

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing Strategic Vision & leadership to Skilling programs on the Campus

• Responsible for overall management and development of the Skill Centre including

o Recruitment, Training and Resource Management

o Supervise quality of training & student development

o Industry relationships for placement, Collaborations & Tie-ups and achieve high placement ratio

o Liaisoning with Govt / Non-Govt sectors / Institutes

o Establishing high quality standards through systems, processes and operations and overall capacity building for accreditations

o High degree of student focus through mix of class room training, on job training, extra-curricular activities, value-based learning and real-world exposure combining local skills and wisdom with advancements in technology, to discover their passion and allow them to explore beyond the realms of the classrooms

o Regulatory Compliance

o Strong Alumni connect

• Identifying, designing and rolling out innovative programs and courses

o Roll out Courses across time tenures

o Design entry level courses for dropouts / graduates and students, upskilling and re-skilling courses for existing employees

o Engage closely with Industry / Associations for Course design, training, placement, resource support

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A Master’s degree or Professional Degree with relevant certifications in training and development

• Experience: 12+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role, preferably within an educational or training environment.
