Sanjivini Society for Mental Health is looking to hire an/a R.C. Assistant/Junior Project Officer in our Rehabilitation Center (RC). The person should have completed a Masters in Psychology/Social Work with 0-2 years of experience. All resumes mentioning the position are to be mailed to rc.sanjivini@sanjivinisociety.org. Roles and Responsibilities

Sanjivini is a registered non-profit Voluntary organization that has been addressing mental health needs of the community since 1976. We also run a Rehabilitation Center for people

living with severe mental illness. The job opening is in our Rehabilitation Center (R.C.) with the following roles and responsibilities, though not limited to:

1. Conducting the Screening process/Mental Status Examination for Clients.

2. Providing individual Counselling to R.C. Clients (only for J.P.O) under the supervision of Senior Counsellors.

3. You will get a chance to work with people living with severe mental illness.

4. Training from Senior Counsellors/Supervisors.

5. Administrative work – Preparing various reports, updating files, admission process, drafting emails etc.

6. Coordination and planning events such as outings, meetings, workshops etc.

7. Assisting in and conducting group activities for clients.

About Company

Sanjivini’s beginnings can be traced back to an event that took place in London.

A pastor based there, Reverend Chad Varah, was called upon to perform the last rites of a 14 year old girl. He made a startling discovery – she had committed suicide after starting her periods, thinking she had contracted a shameful disease. Taking her own life was the only way out for her.
