1. You will serve as the State Coordinator for SGP in West Bengal.

2. You will be responsible for the implementation of the SG project in West Bengal.

3. You will organize and conduct various awareness programs and other components as required by the project.

4. You will prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports on the plan of action, activities, and achievements to the Director.

5. You are expected to keep the Director informed of all follow-ups and developments in your field.

6. Your weekly/monthly work plan should outline proposed activities, time requirements, and expected outcomes.

7. You will assist the Accounts Officer in preparing fund requests and other financial requirements for the projects, subject to the Director’s approval.

8. You will be responsible for generating the MIS (Management Information System).

9. You will collect all necessary documents related to the project from partners.

10. You will prepare the annual reports for both the project and the Organization.

11. You will assist staff with logistical arrangements whenever ABCD conducts training on the premises.

12. Your office hours will be from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

13. Your appointment can be terminated by either party with one month’s notice, or one month’s salary in lieu of notice. If you choose to resign, you are required to provide one month’s notice or forfeit one month's salary.

17. During your service, you are expected to uphold all the values of ABCD and adhere to the HR Policy, Child Protection Policy, Safeguarding Policy, and POSH Policy of ABCD.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) / Master of Social Work (MSW) preferred.

Experience:

1. A minimum of three to five years working in social work, feeling the weight of people’s lives in every decision, knowing each choice could leave an impact—positive or otherwise.

2. Experience working in the complex maze of private sector engagement at the state level, navigating a system where intentions and results don’t always align.

3. Hands-on involvement in programme conceptualisation and management at the state level. It’s not just about drawing up ideas but watching them falter, recalibrate, and sometimes grow.

4. Collaboration with community organisations and groups that seldom get the recognition they deserve. You work together, but the outcome is often precarious, tethered by the strength of that bond.

5. Experience offering technical support and building the capacity of organisations, especially those rooted in grassroots movements. You’re their lifeline, their guide—but it never feels like enough.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Knowledge of MICRO SOFT OFFICE (MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS POWER POINT etc.)

2. Good English communication and writing skills.

3. A fierce commitment to teamwork, collaboration, consensus building, and negotiation. Yet, sometimes, no matter how hard you push for unity, not everyone gets a voice.

4. Analytical skills honed to perfection, writing that tries to make sense of chaos, and verbal communication that often hangs in the air, heavy with unspoken truths.

5. The ability to work effectively in teams, yet a lingering solitude when you're left to shoulder the burden alone.

6. A sound understanding of NGO/CBO support, situated in the murky intersection of public health and human rights, where ideals clash with grim realities.

7. A natural gift for networking, and building relationships in a government setup that often feels indifferent. Some doors stay closed no matter how hard you knock.

8. A willingness to travel—half of your time spent away, moving through places where progress feels slow and you wonder if you’re really making a difference.

9. Knowledge of GFATM reporting procedures and donor strategies, layers of bureaucracy that sometimes seem more important than the work itself.

10. Fluency in English, and perhaps in a few regional languages that slip through the cracks—tools of communication that too often fail to bridge the silence.

5. Compensation Offered:

The gross compensation budgeted for the position is INR 15,000 per month, subject to the following deductions:

• Staff Security Deposit: INR 1,800

• Professional Tax (PTAX): INR 110

The final offer extended to the selected candidate will be commensurate with their qualifications, experience, and salary history.
